Attorney
Brandi Hershey is a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She attended California University of
Pennsylvania and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Attorney Hershey obtained her Juris
Doctorate degree from the Dickinson School of Law in 1999. While in Law School,
she obtained invaluable legal experience serving as a law clerk for the
Honorable William Caldwell, a senior Judge on the United States District Court.
She also worked in the Governor's Office of General Counsel and the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
After law school, Attorney
Hershey worked with the law firm of Baxter & Kipphan in Huntingdon and
served clients in the areas of divorce, custody, support and criminal defense.
In
2000, Attorney Hershey became an Assistant District Attorney in Blair County.
While a prosecutor in Blair County, Attorney Hershey prosecuted hundreds of criminal
cases, from DUI’s to death penalty homicide cases. She has been appointed by the Pennsylvania
Attorney General to serve as a Special Deputy Attorney General in order to prosecute
high level drug offenders in grand jury proceedings.
In
2003, Attorney Hershey came home to Bedford County and became the First
Assistant District Attorney. She expanded on her vast experience in the
criminal justice system and continued to prosecute criminal cases and advocate
for crime victims. She has handled criminal cases at all levels, including
preliminary hearings, jury trials and appeals to the Appellate Courts. She is
admitted to practice in both State and Federal Court.
In
2012, Attorney Hershey decided to enter into private practice and opened the
Law Office of Brandi Hershey, located in Bedford. Attorney Hershey handles a broad array of
cases including, Wills, Estates, Real Estate, Guardianships, Adoptions,
Corporate and Business law, Juvenile matters, Arbitrations and Civil Litigation.
Attorney Hershey is active
in the Community. She is currently the Vice-President of the Bedford County Bar
Association and is a past Treasurer of that organization. She is a member of the Bedford Sunrise Rotary
Club and the Bedford Lions Club. She is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Bedford
County. Attorney Hershey serves as a Trustee on the Bedford Heritage Trust and
is a past Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for Camp Cadet of
Bedford County.
